Originally from Southern France, I have lived in Moscow and NYC before electing London as my latest destination.

 

My love for travel is only superseded by my passion for arts and crafts – from embroidery to sculpting, from leather-crafting to pottery, I’ve always had too many hobbies… A trip to Manchester, a few key encounters and many nights out later, I decided that soldering was missing in my life.

 

In early 2023, this pastime turned into a side hustle, when I realised my handmade party accessories were getting some attention.

 

As for the name, Glitz speaks for itself, and is a good representation of the product I imagined – “extravagant but superficial display”. What about Ziggy? It’s a double reference to both David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust, and Starmania – a dystopian French musical I grew up with.
